Help-Portrait St John's December 3, 2011

The Help-Portrait is a community of photographers from all over the world who volunteer their time and skills to give back to the community. The focus will be on people in need, the homeless, people in shelters, single Moms with or without children. People who would not normally think of or could afford to have their portrait taken. If the first two years are any indication it can leave a positive impression on peoples lives.

For those of you who want to learn more about the mission and origin of Help-Portrait, you should check out the main website at www.help-portrait.com

Here is a graphic from that does a good job of explaining the concept.

We need volunteers, i.e. photographers, makeup artist, hair stylist, greeters and people who might want to come by and help things run smoothly. The more people we have involved the bigger success this will be. If you can help click here to go to the St John's Help-Portrait group membership webpage. Come join us in giving back to our community.

The date is December 3rd, 2011. The location the New Hope Community Centre on Springdale St. in downtown St John’s. It's going to be a fun and rewarding day!
